1. Agreement to terms

By creating an account or using Coo ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Coo is operated by Coo Family LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Coo. The App is designed for parents and caregivers. By using Coo, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. Account registration

You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

4. Household sharing and consent

Coo allows you to invite other adults to join your household. By inviting someone, you acknowledge that:

  • Baby care data (logs, milestones, growth measurements) will be shared with all household members.
  • Chat conversations remain private to each individual user.
  • Any household member can log data that other members will see.
  • You have the authority to share data about minors in your care with invited household members.

By accepting a household invitation, you agree to these sharing terms.

5. Subscriptions and payments

  • Coo offers a free tier and a paid Premium tier.
  • Premium subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store on a monthly ($14.99/month) or annual ($99.99/year) basis.
  • New Premium subscriptions include a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged until the trial period ends.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Subscription management and cancellation are handled through your Apple ID settings.
  • Subscriptions are per-household: one subscription provides Premium access to all household members.
  • Refunds are subject to Apple's refund policies.

6. AI-generated content

Coo uses artificial intelligence to provide chat responses, daily summaries, pattern detection, and personalized guidance. You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated content is for informational purposes only and does not constitute medical, health, or professional advice.
  • You should always consult qualified healthcare professionals (including your pediatrician) for medical decisions about your child.
  • AI responses may occasionally contain errors or inaccuracies. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content.
  • AI features require an internet connection and may be temporarily unavailable.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Coo for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, other accounts, or our systems.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality.
  • Use the App to harass, abuse, or harm others.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App.
  • Share your account credentials with anyone outside your household.

8. Your content

You retain ownership of all content you submit to Coo (logs, notes, photos, chat messages). By using the App, you grant us a limited license to use this content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the service, including processing through our AI providers.

9. Intellectual property

The Coo app, brand, design, and all associated content are the property of Coo Family LLC. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our written permission.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

Coo is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or suitable for any particular purpose.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Coo Family LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to reliance on AI-generated content, data loss, or service interruptions.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Coo Family LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Iredell County, North Carolina.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by email. Continued use of Coo after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
